Moshe received the Torah from Sinai and transmitted it to Yehoshua; Yehoshua passed it on the Elders; the Elders to the Prophets; and the Prophets passed it on to the Men of the Great Assembly. They said three things: Be cautious in judgment; build up many disciples; and establish boundaries for the Torah. |
